This is the first tutorial in a series that show you how to use iMagic Tour Reservation. This tutorial steps you through the process of setting up the system.
 
When you first run the application the Configuration Wizard will start. If this is not the first time you have run the application or you have closed it open it now by clicking the Configuration Wizard from the Configure menu.
 
This wizard allows you to set your regional information, charges and tour information.
 
Step 1. Welcome
 
The first step welcomes you to the wizard and indicates what it does. To continue:
 
               1.        Click the Next button.
 
Step 2. Entering your regional information.
 
This step allows you to choose the Zip Code/Post Code, Currency Symbol and Sales Tax name. To choose your regional information:
 
               1.        Select the name to use for your Zip Code/Post Code.
               2.        Enter the name to use for your Sales Tax.
               3.        Click the Next button.
 
Step 3. Entering your tax information.
 
This allows you to define your tax rate (and secondary tax if you have one). To enter your rates:
 
               1.        Enter the Sales Tax Percentage, this is the amount of tax you pay per booking. If you don't pay sales tax set this to 0.
               2.        Click the Next button.
 
Step 4. Entering your tours.
 
You'll now be asked if you would like to add your tours. You can setup your tours now or later by selecting Configure/Tours from the main menu.
 
               1.        The Add Tour Wizard will start and display a welcome screen. Click Next.
               2.        Enter the tour name (or number), minimum, maximum people and any notes for the tour. Click Next.
               3.        Enter the Charge for each, Unit Price and select any Tax Rate that applies. Click Next.
               4.        You can now add the tour dates your tour runs on:
                               a. Select no to add tours later.
                               b. Select Yes to an individual date.
                               c. Select Yes to many tour dates.
               5.        Click Finish to create your tour.
 
You can repeat this process and add as many tours as required. When you're finished answer "No" to the "Add another tour date" question.
 
Step 5. Finished
 
All of the necessary information to start taking reservations has been entered. To continue:
 
               1.        Click the Next button.
 
Tips
 
· You can repeat this procedure should any settings change.
